oh yeah math is like literally everything that i do
been doing math since preschool and now i'm in a multivariable calculus class and am taking many math competitions (AMC 8, AMC 10/12, AIME, USAMO (hopefully, my index was 194.5 last year), MATHCOUNTS, BMT, BmMT (future), MOEMS (in the past))
i've qualified for the MATHCOUNTS National Competition twice and yet to qualify a third time this year
qualified for AIME four times
got DHR in AMC 8 once a long time ago, haven't participated in 3 years

I love math man, pretty fun, don't know why so many people that I see hate math so much.
i like math when i have a single formula that i can use to solve a problem (and not multiple different ones). I am actually doing math as of typing this. You feel accomplished when you finish a math problem correctly.

The beauty in math is the use of creative techniques to solve a problem. Sorta like using pseudoslotting and other creative stuff to solve a cube.

I'm in 8th grade, and I would say that I'm good at math, I have "straight" 10s, I have a 9, but mostly 10s, and I like algebra, it's kinda relaxing to me, except when I have homework to do 50 problems💀, but with geometry, I don't get along with it

You seem like someone who can relate. When I'm doing bulk scrambles I time my scrambles of every shelf in my collection. After scrambling an entire shelf, I add all of the times together. Even though I know that the addition is correct in my brain, I still insist on using a calculator for verification. I can't be the only person who doubts my math skills lol.

Hey, just surveying to see if there’d be any interest in making a study group for those of us math majors in college. (or simply making an online group discussion for all of us math lovers, as it feels a bit weird to have this on the main page of SS)

I’m also potentially open to tutoring people online in middle/upper high school or 100-level college math classes if anyone is interested in that as well.
Hey, math major here! I'm interested!

What do you mean? I am in 7th grade, taking 8th grade advanced math, which is Algebra 1. Next year (8th grade)I will take Geometry and Algebra 2, so I will (I think) take Pre Calc in 9th grade. If you want more details DM me.
Dang Geometry and Algebra 2 in same year! In my district you can’t do that(Sounds like hell) and you can’t take Algebra 1 until 8th grade which is normally a 9th grade class. You can’t take precalc until Junior or Senior year.
