Hey everyone! We’re thrilled to announce that CubeIndex is now officially released on

This release is all about polishing the platform and making it more appealing to both new and current users. Here’s what’s new:

- Vendor Tracking – Mark where you bought your cubes.
- Mobile Bottom Navigation – Quick access to the most-used links.
- Notification Center – Stay on top of what’s happening.
- User Dashboard – Recent activity, quick links, and basic stats in one place.
- Achievement Rarities – Now based on how many users unlocked each achievement.
- Hosted Images – Upload profile pictures & banners directly; CubeIndex now hosts them!
- New Userbar – A 350×19 banner showing your cube & achievement count.
- Captcha on Signup/Login – Extra protection for accounts.
- General UI Improvements – Cleaner, smoother, and more inviting across the site.
- Updated ToS & Privacy Policy – Please review the changes.

Why This Matters
This isn’t the most feature-packed update, but it’s a major step forward in usability and polish. CubeIndex now looks better, feels smoother, and is easier to use than ever before.

Important: If you experience bugs or things not working as expected, I highly recommend clearing your cached data and cookies. Old saved data may cause conflicts with the new release.

So I recently shared my idea for a cubing project called CubeIndex, and the response from the community was amazing (seriously, thank you all ).

For those who missed it: CubeIndex is a website where you’ll be able to track your cube collection, rate your cubes, and let’s be honest… mostly show off .

But I don’t want to build this alone and end up with something that looks great to me but totally atrocious for you.
That’s why I’d love your suggestions, feedback, and ideas — whether it’s about UI/UX, features you’d love to see, or cubes you think should be in the database.
Fixing a grammar mistake is contribution in my eyes so you are all welcome.

It has been a while. Sorry I had school and other things to worry about (like procrastination). But after a lot of work I finally have a new update ready! Yay

That's what I would want to say anyway...

So yes there are some new things coming but it needs testing... So if you have time I'd be super happy to see you test the next update of CubeIndex.
It'll bring the ability to you users to contribute directly to the database! Yep you heard me right you will soon be able to submit the cubes in your collection to CubeIndex by simply giving the links of the cube store links.
Right now the only supported shops are TheCubicle and SpeedCubeShop sadly. More of them is coming soon.

So if you want to start contributing and are willing to test potentially dangerous code that could maybe create a blackhole (we never know) you only need to respond to this message with your CubeIndex username and you will be given access.
Keep in mind that there is limited space to not overwhelm the system if a critical bug is discovered and I don't know how many I'll accept yet.

PS: If you want to get to the other side of the project and become member of the staff to be able to verify user submissions you can absolutely become staff at : https://thecubeindex.com/apply

We’re excited to announce that the cube submission feature is now officially out of beta

We’ve introduced a brand-new autofill feature on the submit cube page. Instead of manually entering every detail, you can now simply paste a link to a cube from a supported store, click autofill, and let CubeIndex do the work for you.

Behind the scenes, this feature is powered by a home made store page scraper, which automatically extracts key information directly from the cube’s product page and fills in the submission form for you. This means faster submissions, and a smoother experience overall.

Autofill support will continue to expand and improve, and reports of incorrect or missing data are always welcome to help refine the system further.

For now only two stores are compatible with the autofill feature: SpeedCubeShop and TheCubicle.
The support of more stores is planned in the future.

Head over to the submit cube page, try the new autofill feature, and start contributing to the database more easily than ever.

During this period, no new features will be released. Only urgent bug fixes will be handled if necessary, and responses may be slower than usual. Normal development and activity will resume after the holidays.

You can now see stats and charts about your cube collection directly on your user profile.
New stats are coming soon, it is only the beginning

Cube reviews are now live on CubeIndex.

To start writing, open any cube details page, go to the Reviews tab, and hit Write a review.

Drafts are saved, so you do not need to worry about losing progress. Users can also vote on whether a review is helpful.

You can publish a written review for any cube and rate it from 0.5 to 5 stars on:

• Turning speed
• Corner-cutting
• Stability
• Magnet strength
• Adjustability
• Build Quality

If you already have a review written somewhere else (notes, Reddit, a store review, a document), copy-pasting it into CubeIndex can be a quick way to get started.

Hello everyone, it's me, Saterz
I would like to excuse myself for my sudden disappearance. I should've sent an announcement way earlier. But better late than never, here I am.

Before you jump to conclusions, no I'm not shutting down CubeIndex. I am writing this to announce important changes regarding the future of the app's development.

I admit having made some stupid errors in the past and being way too naive on how I thought this project would grow. One of my most flagrant errors was focusing way more on new features then on actually polishing what was already built, which now results in features not being good enough to be usable/useful (fun fact: this mentality of mine went to the point where I wanted to release one new feature every week).

My next big error was how I thought I could make the app grow. I wanted to create every pretext possible to promote the app everywhere. But while I was gone I thought about it and realized that CubeIndex's most effective growth strategy is through its users. I'll be encouraging the act of sharing your collection, a specific cube detail page, or anything they find useful. This simple act of sharing means a lot since CubeIndex's database and ratings are contributed entirely by the community.

Unfortunately, because of important school exams, I'm incapable of actively working on CubeIndex until the summer vacations. But when I get back to work I plan on polishing every feature currently available before starting to consider new ones. Starting with the main two points of CubeIndex: the cube database and users cube collection. I will facilitate even more the process of adding cubes to the database for contributors and add quality of life updates to improve the management of your cube collection.
