ctTimer Sq-1 scrambles

I need help, folks!

I am trying to use csTimer to give me Sq-1 scrambles, and even though I am following the move notation precisely (I've tried the same scramble multiple times) I do not get a puzzle in the starting form shown by the "drawing".

My understanding is that standard Sq-1 scrambles are done with yellow on top (U) and red facing you (F). Am I doing this incorrectly?

It seems you are doing those things right, perhaps you are actually doing the notation wrong?

I suppose that's possible.

...would mean to turn the upper face the equivalent of 3 edge segments counter-clockwise, the bottom layer 4 edge segments clockwise, and then slice. Do I have that right?

Never mind. I was doing a slice at the end even though the scramble didn't end with a "/" in the notation.
