With another 48 here and another 48 in the example solve thread, the Aurora example solve movecount has become 47.888! I think I can say that Aurora III can average 48 moves, but I'll keep posting example solves to test this. I think Aurora III can really be something, and I might start maining it.

I could have easily gotten sub10 here. It was a misscrable, but I’m still gonna count it. I had a xxcross-> some pair-> free pair R U2 R’ insert+ll skip.
 
After leaving it for a few months, I'm going to get back into learning ZB. I debated it for a few days, but then decided that it was probably a better decision to switch. So far I spent around 40 min practicing VHLS, and I had a 97% accuracy (98/101), with a 2.67 mean. I basically still knew these algs, minus 3 or 4 cases that were really easy to learn. I'm also going to review the ZBLL sets I still know. I'll try to practice everyday, and keep you guys updated on my progress.
 
I did another VHLS practice for 50 minutes today. I got 118/120, with a session mean of 2.71. Doing really nice, and I might go to learning another set later today and tomorrow.

I spent 28 minutes on what is labeled as F2l 5 ((U’) R U R’ U2 R U’ R’ for the base alg). It was pretty easy, and I had learned these algs before, so they came really easily to me. I did 100 solves with a mean of 2.76. I will say I changed one of the algs he had for orient R from (U’) r U R’ U’ R2 r’ U2 R’ to (U’) R U R’ U R’ F R2 U R’ U’ F’. While it’s longer, I found it to be a faster execution. I’ll practice CHLS and this set more tomorrow, and see when I’m ready to learn more.

Today was a pretty good day for ZBLS.

First, I did 37 minutes of practice for an ao100 solves for VHLS, with a 2.37 mean (!). Then, I practiced F2L 5, and I got a small improvement to a 2.67 (😑) mean of 100 solves. I also decided to learn F2L 6, which did not go well. I struggled a lot with recall on these algs, and they felt very awkward, and there was a lot of FUL stuff going on, and overall it just seems like a bad set for my turning. I got a 3.6X mean of 100 (😔) (I forgot to write down the actual time, and I don’t want to hand average the data).
Summary: Good day overall for ZBLS, but F2L 6 is going to need a lot of work.

Another thing I did was a bit of Cross+1 practice. I did 12 attempts with a 50% success rate (😭). I’ll have to do more of that, for sure.
