I'm an over 60 year old cuber that is just starting. I'm not fast or precise (yet), but I have the LBL down. Solving times using the LBL are a typically below 3 minutes. One of the things that slows me down is that I don't see colors well, so differentiating the cube colors can be problematic. (Bright cubes and sunlight really helps). Avg CFOP using 4 Look: 3.5 minutes. Nothing memorized yet.
I love being able to just solve a mixed up cube. Being able to solve a cube even faster just increases that fun/minute ratio.
I have a few cubes: GoCube (learned on it), MonsterGo (bluetooth) GAN 356 I3 (messing with bluetooth connections), GAN magnet version of some sort, and some old cubes we had around the house. I haven't been able to connect the GAN 356 I3 to Cubeast, but the MonsterGo cube works well there. (Thanks Cubeast! It's nice to keep track of my times.)
My goal is learn and get substantially faster in my solves. (My other secret goal is to get my sons into cubing too.)
If you see a old guy walking your neighborhood holding a cube and NOT turning any sides then it might be me. I'm working on figuring out the correct moves to create the cross faster. That's the real definition of a cross walker.
