Maybe you already know this.
If after a drop you have a white spots or strips as a result of plastic bending, but the plastic itself is not damaged, then you can remove them by immersing the disassembled part of piece in boiling water for a second or little more several times until the spots disappear. Care must be taken that the part is not distorted so do not immerse it for a long time. This it true for the stickerless puzzles made from ABS plastic.
