UV Coating vs Frosted vs Glossy plastic

GAN and QiYi UV coating, glossy for everything else. I don't mind frosted unless it's really, really frosted. MoYu and QiYi frosted is fine, but I really hate GAN frosted on dry days.

Yeah, MoYu’s UV is not that good sadly.

I’ve never tried a UV coated cube, so I don’t have an opinion on that, but I think I would enjoy it. I prefer glossy over frosted any day, but frosted plastic is honestly not as bad as some people may make it seem.

Yeah, MoYu’s UV is not that good sadly.

i hate frosted cubes… i had to polish my swift block to make it usable, because it would slip out of my hands during solves

Ah. Well, I’ve heard it chips over time and is not as good as GAN’s.

I don’t mind it. I’ve had 2 GAN 2x2s, both frosted, and I would say only 2-3 times did the frosted plastic make the cube slip out of my hands.
