Offcourse everything in speedcubing is about times. So the only ranking is and will be the time ranking. But because it's fun I created a ranking based on all competitions in the last 2 years. I just published the first ranking of 1-sep-2014, which has the next top 20:

Rk personname Points
1 Feliks Zemdegs 10918
2 Mats Valk 9786
3 Bence Barát 9501
4 Akash Rupela 8667
5 Robert Yau 8176
6 Vincent Hartanto Utomo 8136
7 Erik Akkersdijk 7904
8 Hunor Bózsing 7722
9 Carlos Méndez García-Barroso 7605
10 Jayden McNeill 7552
11 Cornelius Dieckmann 7540
12 Jorge Castillo Matas 7504
13 Bhargav Narasimhan 7481
14 Przemysław Kaleta 7449
15 Jan Bentlage 7375
16 Alexander Olleta del Molino 7332
17 Rowe Hessler 7219
18 Ernesto Gutiérrez Cuba 7129
19 John Brechon 7120
20 Ihor Bilchenko (Ігор Більченко) 7118

Only the best 10 competitions of the last 2 years are counting. I used weight factor to make p.e. 3x3x3 more important than 7x7x7. Only results in a final can get points and you have got at least one succes solve in the final to get points. (so no points for a third place multi blind with a DNF). I also used weighfactors to make Worlds more important.

I will publish the complete rules of the ranking later and I will try to update the ranking at least every month.

The complete ranking can be find at here

I'm in the top 20 despite not even understanding fully how it is ranked, cool.
Based on your brief description, is it similar to how the weekly forum comp ranking works?

Suggestion: Don't invent a completely new ranking system when we already have a few (e.g. fantasy cubing, sum of ranks on the WCA statistics page). Otherwise, we have Yet Another Ranking System, and I don't see a great purpose to those except to make some people feel better that they are higher up according to some arbitrary ranking rules than others.

It would be interesting to see some those existing rankings calculated for certain recent ranges of times, though.

So the only ranking is and will be the time ranking.

Fantasy Cubing?

And please read the "Allowed use:" section of the export's README and somehow follow at least the points that make sense (in my personal, non-official opinion (I also didn't write that README), you for example actually shouldn't say that WCA is the owner of the information, as the Points and Rk columns are yours).

What I wanted to say it's that in my opinion the time ranking always will be the most important ranking.

Fantasy cubing is about results AND times and it takes all the results as far I can see. It's another interesting ranking.

Indeed, I didnt read it, I will add some text about it later.

And thx for all the suggestions and remember I did this only because it's fun, my fun and maybe fun for others, but certainly not for everyone :)
