Competition Excel Document Help

[bt9090]

Does anyone know where I can get an Excel Document with spreadsheet ready for a competition? I looked on the WCA website but all I could find were .tsv files.
Any help would be great. Thanks everyone

Do you mean .csv?
Then you could import them into Excel.

CubingUSA has some stuff that will automatically generate the spreadsheet based on registration (Jim Mertens did a ton of the work). Are you doing this for a competition?

Then import the .csv stuff into it.

The only files I could find were .tvs and .sql files, where could I find the .csv files?

Those files are of results of competitions that have already happened, so that you can analyze them. Use the spreadsheet linked above for entering results from a competition

Okay this link was it, just what I needed. Thanks everyone!

You could've found it (and can find it again) this way:

Could anyone use that feature? Or it is only used for a competition in USA?

One of the nice things about CubingUSA is the fact that things are integrated into the entire system, so you can do things like updates to registration etc with your login. While we have created pages for competitions in other countries, it just doesn't work out as well because you can't do the partition create, etc.

However, we do share the CubingUSA source code with other organizations if they're interested. It'll take some tweaking to modify it for your country (for example, CubingUSA does a lot with "states", which may not apply to some places).

If you are using the registration system of the WCA website, you can generate the entire spreadsheet (xlsx format) in the admin page of the competition (generally available for the organisers).
