this is just like a survey especially for the 3x3 puzzles
you could also include other puzzles if u want

just post your PB's with your average and as well as how many weeks, months or years you have been using your method(fridrich, petrus, etc)

3x3 single: 16.99 average: 26.37
3x3 OH: 44.26 average: 58.58

been using fridrich for 4 months now

single: 13.51
average of 5: 17.70
average of 12: 18.xx

If you consider the difference between Fridrich and LBL as only pairing a corner and edge before insertion then I've been using Fridrich for about 8-9 months, although I could do a simple and very slow LBL for maybe 8-9 years before that.

and why did you switch your average to 26.85?

i edited it..sorry about that its 26.37 the 22.86 ave was the ave i got wen i broke my PB but if i was to solve maybe a 100 time my ave is still at 26..i just did 30 solves just recently and its 26.37

single pb is 58, avg is 1:13 for 3x3

been cubing for 1 month with a corners first method

After 6.5 months of Fridrich:
single (PLL skip): 14.19,
A5: 20.26,
A12: 22.52.

Now I am switching to Petrus.

I don't think time spent on cubing matters as much as how much/how hard you practice. I've been cubing for 5 years and there are people who are faster than me who started a year ago.

i started on the 5th of may this year (so thats like nearly 8 months), and i average around 17-18s, with a full step 10.05 single, and non lucky-full step 10.9x (something around there). i think my PB avg of 5 is like 15.5... EDIT update - that evening i got a 14.94 avg of 5 :)

and i concur with shelley, except i'd be a little more exact and say HOW you practice is the biggest factor, rather than how much/often. for example, ive recently become a lot more consistent in getting good times non lucky (less than 15/16s) recently as ive been practicing my lookahead in solves a LOT; turning as fast as possible as well as tracking as many pieces as possible.

Single: 24.77
A5: 35.93
A12: I don't keep track of this, but i think it would be around 40.

After 10 months of LBL. I keep changing steps though.
I guess I have been doing 1 month of:
Cross
Corners
2nd Layer
2 look OLL minus headlights case. (I do sune, anti-sune. I have not memoed the real algorithm.)
Perm the corners using J-Perm
Perm the edges. (I don't know Z perm)

LBL+incomplete 2s-oll

3x3 single: 36.55
3x3 average: 42.26

i have been using LBL for 3 months, started learning 2sOLL a month ago
havent finished memorizing them all yet(still need to learn head-light case)

Im VERY slow...

3x3 single: ?? my guess is 1:1x
3x3 average: 1:26 last time I tested (a few days ago)

I learned how to solve the cube 3 months ago. Was happy just to be able to solve it and didnt pursue any other methods untill about 2 weeks ago.

I use the Fridrich Method with a 2-Look OLL and 2-Look PLL. I have them all memorized except the "headlights" OLL.. but I still pause to think about it before I make any moves. My F2L is what kills my time though. I have alot of work to do but only have time for maybe 10-15 minutes a day during the weekdays.

pb: 33 seconds
avg: 42 seconds

i use a beginneres method for the first 2 layers with a 2 look oll and pll. trying to learn fridrich f2l, then eventually oll and pll

EDIT: Just learned 2 look oll and pll a few weeks ago
