Yeah, like beginner L4E, which is like 4-6 algs, or something like that, and then L43E which is many more. But if you just want to learn pyra, you only really need 3 algs.so little? aren't there methods or something?

The method I use (intuitive L4E) only requires one alg, which is the two flipYou only need about 3 algs to learn pyra. Not sure how many you need to get good at it, but it’s very easy to learn.

My Pyraminx got here today and I know nothing. I'll report back in a week.

Most people twist the tips at the beginning or the end, but whenever is convenient really. I use my left and right index fingers to do U and U’ moves, and my third finger to do B and B’. Also use wrist turns for R and L. If you average sub 10, than you can start learning L4E or something. I average about 10, so don’t take my word for it. Also sub10 is pretty good for a beginner.I have so many questions about this event.
When do you twist the corners? Is sub-10 even decent? I currently know all 5 beginner algs you should know but the problem is just mainly recognition. How do you even fingertrick this thing? Is it too early to start learning intermediate or advanced methods cus I don't wanna rush anything.
Basically throughout the solve whenever convenient. I don't know of any top solvers who do it exclusively at the beginning or end. When do you twist the corners?
I found this person with a low 10 comp pr. It is top 5000 in the US so I'm not sure what you consider decent but I would probably say like sub 7 or 8 decent. Is sub-10 even decent?
Honestly my finger tricks are pretty bad but some videos like this can help. Personally I learned intuitive l4e at around mid 9, which took me to about low 6 but I'm not to sure if that's the best idea and you can get quite fast with beginners method so your choice. How do you even fingertrick this thing? WTF everyome does thisI don't know of any top solvers who do it exclusively at the beginning or end.
Oh. Um I guess just disregard what I said then.WTF everyome does this

I personally twist the corners at the beginning, but you can do them throughout the solve. Some people leave 1 corner for the end. As with every event, recognition will come gradually, and you'll also get used to the puzzle. You might want to try learning intuitive L4E now so that way you don't have to transition- the method isn't much harder. But if you're looking for NR LBL should be enough- the record average is 6.20. (I average 7 with LBL so my advice might not be perfect)I have so many questions about this event.

Use the MGC as a backup. Do you know all the concepts in BLD and what memo strategy do you use?Well, I have a 6x6 now, and I also got the 251 M pro so I can finally practice 2x2. Idk what to do with my MGC tho, prolly throw that away. My MGC5 was at the end of its days and the internal on a corner piece broke so I had to get a new one. Didn't wanna get the MGC again so I got the Hong instead.
anyway, one month to my comp and I haven't learnt Blind, or Squan. I'll just drop every other event and practice Blind until comp starts. I've decided to use M2/OP. Currently struggling with edge memos and learning the full setups and special cases for M2. Corners are a breeze cus OP corners are too easy (I'll prolly eat my words later).
Wish me luck.
If you ever, EVER throw away a cube, ANY cube, no matter how bad its condition may be, I will find you and I will give you a massive slap to the face.Idk what to do with my MGC tho, prolly throw that away.
there is this:so little? aren't there methods or something?
Just the basic one where you turn letter pairs into words, nothing special. If I know all the concepts, probably not. I haven't actually encountered Parity, if that's a thing with M2 idkUse the MGC as a backup. Do you know all the concepts in BLD and what memo strategy do you use?
My main issue with Pyraminx is not even the algs, it's fingertricks. I've watched some videos but I'm still trying to get a hold of it. I think I average sub-15 already tho (Just a quick ao5 I didafter that practice for an hour or more
you'll get under 15s (and then 10s!')) in no time flat
