No way I forgot you came to the UK!!Been practicing 4x4 all day. Goal for this year is sub-38.
I signed up for Stevenage Newcomers like 2 weeks ago, bit late though cus I've been on the same spot on the waiting list since forever. I'm prolly not gonna make it to the competitors list in time but the events are 2/3/4/OH. I'll just practice 4x4 and 2x2, in the slight chance that I do make it in.
Been here just over a year now. Weather's rubbish. No way I forgot you came to the UK!!
13° C tommorow. Apparently that's the UK temperature record for Feb 7? Winter in the UK is awful weather-wise. No snow, rain and cold temperatures too warm to pop a jacket on but too cold to wear just a top.Been here just over a year now. Weather's rubbish.
Yeah that's the UK for you, snow was cool in winter for once though. You got any other plans for comps other than Stevenage?Been here just over a year now. Weather's rubbish.
Can't really move around too much since I'm still in Uni term-time and I got a job now. Stevenage is close enough to Northampton and from what I've seen, they hold comps quite frequently so I'm sure I'll get a spot soon. I'm not in a rush to attend a comp (even though I should be since I'm tryna beat NRs and they keep getting lower), just wanna make sure I attend at least 3 before the year ends. Until then, I'll just keep practicing all the events I do, maybe even learn some new ones.Yeah that's the UK for you, snow was cool in winter for once though. You got any other plans for comps other than Stevenage?

from jperm's website:Doing untimed solves really paid off.
Most of these solves could have been better but I didn't know the PLLs for them (I still use JPerm's beginner method for 5-cycle corners). Also I found out that my beloved Permuteramera is down, now where am I supposed to learn PLLs from :'(
I solve only one event if I am seriously grinding4x4 not good.
I also realized that my problem is that I'm practicing too many events at once so I'll just reduce to 2 at a time. I wanna practice 2x2 since the NR time is bad but the MGC feels weird in my hand and I can't figure out how to setup a 2x2, so I'll prolly just stick to Mega and 5. My 5x5 is around 1:20 rn - wanna bring that down to 1:10 before I go to any comp. Also I have a Skewb, Squan and Pyra on the way.
Just wondering, how do y'all with multiple events practice? Or does everything revolve around whether you have a comp coming up or nah?
even if you've got a comp coming up?I solve only one event if I am seriously grinding
He like never has comps in his area.even if you've got a comp coming up?

You only need about 3 algs to learn pyra. Not sure how many you need to get good at it, but it’s very easy to learn.Tried learning soe L2E algs today, ended up learning 2.
5x5
In other news, I gave up on waiting for Stevenage Newcomers so I signed up for Stevenage April instead (was at work yesterday so I had to stalk the site until the registration but I finally got in). I signed up for 3x3, 5x5, 3BLD, Mega, OH, Pyra and Squan - I can solve 3, 5, OH and Mega. So I have 2 months to learn 3BLD, Pyraminx and Squan.
My Pyraminx got here today and I know nothing. I'll report back in a week.
so little? aren't there methods or something? You only need about 3 algs to learn pyra. Not sure how many you need to get good at it, but it’s very easy to learn.
