Maybe I am completely missing this option, but is there a way to hide user's signatures without just entirely ignoring the user? I don't feel like seeing a page long signature when I am trying to read a topic

There's a way to.
Go to preferences in your settings, you can turn it off there

If someone has a signature that is too long, please also DM me so I can look at it. We have rules around it and too much content in a signature isn't allowed.

One very annoying thint i have noticed is that, while the XF search is useful and the default search basically doesn't work, certain keywords, for example, '2x2' get filtered out for being too short or common. So if i wanted to search '2x2 discussion thread' i would get results for 'discussion thread'

Thanks, working on this. Any other queries you can share? Would be useful to have a few to work with.

And if they feel the need to include a lot of content in the signature, they can simply provide a link to a post(s) for people to view as an alternative. For example (as you know in my case), Cubing Contribution Hyperlink Thread (to Reduce Signature Size). (The link in my signature goes to that thread.)

(So yeah, there is no reason for making the signature block to house all of the content.)

I just have to use the other search tab. works fine for me
