COLL - same algs for 2x2 and 3x3?

If I learn all the COLLs so I can do the 2x2 method Rowe Hessler uses, will those same algorithms that Rowe uses work on the 3x3 as well? Or should I learn the 3x3 COLLs so that way I know thye will work on both cubes?

I want to practice 2x2 because its a short burst of speed, but I don't want to learn all the COLLs if they don't benefit my 3x3 solving as well.

All COLLs work on 2x2x2 and 3x3. Many 2x2 CLLs do not work on 3x3. Some of the COLLs are the same as the CLLs while others are significantly longer.

2x2 CLLs are really short heres Rowe's algshttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RHP2Hlgce-k&feature=channel those are the sunes and the other cases will be in the related videos or on his channel. 3x3 CLLs work but will be longer.

Ive tried using COLL on the 2x2, and some cases are horrid, definitely CLL is much better.

If you want to get fast and don't mind learning 40 algorithms just for 2x2, then CLL all the way.

Chances are you already know a bunch of the CLL algs anyway, you just need to learn when to use them.

Alright, thanks. I guess I'll just learn the CLLs because I don't want to spend time trying to recognize the case on 3x3.
