Hi everyone!

I picked up my first cube roughly 5 years ago, tried a couple of solves following written instructions and it took me half an hour and lots of frustration :D

So I lost interest and gave up almost instantly. Then, 3 months ago, I stumbled upon a video on youtube showing an example solve using CFOP (I think he was Mats Valk), and that intrigued me to the point I decided to give it another try.
So I rushed to a local toy store and bought a Rubik's brand cube and started learning badmephisto beginner's method. At the same time I ordered a Weilong from a big chinese online store, so I quickly switched to that cube after a couple of weeks.

At this point, after about 3 months of practice and learning I'm at a humble 40 seconds average with occasional spikes of 28-30 seconds lucky singles. It's a huge step forward if you ask me, and I enjoy so much that I've started practicing every day.

My first competition will be on October 31st here in Italy, and I hope to get to a stable sub-35 average for that time. There are lots of sub-10 guys here, so I expect to be literally blasted away, but that's ok! I'm just having fun :)

Currently I have a pretty crappy white/yellow Cross on bottom, choppy F2L, slow 2L OLL and I'm studing PLL (still working on my G-perms and N-perms).
While studing PLL I'm also practicing blindfold cross to improve my spatial/geometric reasoning skills.

Soon I'll get my hands on a 4x4 Aosu, that's scary but I'm sure a lot of fun too :)

Enough for now, happy cubing folks
