Uh-oh. There's nothing here about using ChatGPT to generate 3x3x3 solution methods. You've just been

Surprise Challenged by Chris Hardwick!

There's only one Golden Rule:

Surprise Challenge Golden Rule) Do the challenge listed below right now.

Clarification of the #1 rule: Don't warm up, don't practice. Just do the challenge right this very moment*.

Additional Rules:
1) Don't do the challenge if doing so would put you in a dangerous situation. For example don't do the challenge while driving.

2) If you do not have the puzzle/item/etc. that the challenge requests on your person, and you would like to participate, then you must make every reasonable effort to do the challenge at your very FIRST available opportunity.

3) Post any funny happenings or stories that occur during your challenge.

----------------------------------------------
Ok, here's the challenge!

3x3x3 Speedsolve Challenge
You have to do one single, timed speedsolve of the 3x3x3. That's it. The challenge is that you have to do it right now*.

3x3x3 Speedsolve Challenge Official Scramble: U' B2 U F2 R2 U2 R2 U' R2 D R U F' L D L' F2 L B2 R'

Good Luck Everyone!

*do the challenge as soon as you reasonably can manage. Don't risk losing your job or getting in trouble in class, etc.

Not good, but not terrible without warm-up. Somehow managed to do five pairs in the solve, so could easily have shaved off 2-3 seconds.

Nice challenge Chris. Funny stories... well, not that funny but this must be the first time I've picked up a cube for several weeks and easily the fastest time I've solved it in for a couple of years 😆 I was just about to go pick up my son from school and got drawn in to this...

For those of you who don't know, I've been involved in cubing (not much these days...) since 2002, and Chris was the main reason I learned to solve a cube... total legend 😀

contender for best thread of the year and its only may.

Slightly unrelated, but I wonder if AI is capable of doing other cubing related things.

It'd be cool to take Gemini and ChatGPT - for example - and see which is better at doing something like a forum comp or creating a better method.
