Well, I'm fairly new to solving cubes and recently I made the move from solving the cross on top to the bottom and all I have to say is wow! I have reduced my time by at least 30 seconds. I was averaging 1:45 - 2:00 minutes, which I know is pretty slow, now averaging 1:00 - 1:15 just by switching methods. Next I'll be learning 2LOLL and 2LPLL from BadMephisto's website. After that I'll probably start learning F2L. Then full PLL and OLL. That's if I don't get caught up with work. :D All I wanted to say is that I found it pretty awesome how much time is reduced. :) Thanks for reading this far! :tu

Thanks! That's actually another thing I should work on lol. I always start with the white cross. Otherwise my solves are really slow with other colors.

My second layer was pretty slow because of the method I used. The algorithm I use to solve the second layer now feels much smoother and faster. I never really checked how long it took me to solve each layer. I'll try to do so. But now that you made me think of individual layers, the second layer is probably the one I lost most of the time on!

Well, I've been cubing for long years (in some months it will be 8 years) and I decided to try to change solving cross on top to solving it on the bottom just yesterday xD

I average around 13-14 now

I'll give it a try...

PS: 444th post

EDIT: Did an ao12, sub-13... xD
