Hiya,
i'm a new cuber. I've been trying to solve the skewb ultimate for a while now and using meffert's solution online always get to the stwge of 3 unsolved edges or one. But, i can't for the life of me work out how to solve the last corner...pic attached. I'm only using mefferts solutions as I dont read the cube notation, so cant follow Jaaps solution. The rest of the cube is solved, just one exge and corner remains, as shown...

Any solutions you can point me to, or notation guide so that I can read Jaaps guide?

Thanks

I can't see the image, but its strange, you can't have only one corner unsolved (missoriented) in a skewb.
First of all, forget about the shape of the piece, a skewb only have 6 centers and 8 corners. In the skewb ultimate (shapemod of the skewb), the corners look like corners, and the centers like big hexagonal edges.
You can have two centers missoriented, or two corners, but not one corner and one center.

It's weird, I keep reading online exactly what you've said, that it will be misorientated in multiples of 2,4,6. But nope, each time, it's 3 or 1 with me!!!!??? No joke. No sticker removal malarky. I want to solve it properly, so no jiggery pokery. I wonder if it's been put together wrongly?

On the photo, you can see the one edge piece needing to be turned, and then the bottom right corner too....

If you haven't disasembled it or it hasn't popped on you, it should be in a solvable position, since twisting a corner it's very difficult and twisting a center it's almost impossible.

Is it 6-colour (every colour repeated)? If it's the case could be some kind of parity. I don't have that puzzle, so I can't be sure...

I realigned the centre piece that was wonky above, and interestingly now am getting to 2 or 4 unsolved edges, no longer the uneven numbers.

In fact I'm solving all 6 edges easily now but still have to figure out how to fix the remaining corners to finish off. There's usually just four corners to solve, but using the mefferts final solution doesnt seem to do it...????
