I just realized, he is going to Hungary now. I wonder who will win in a race Macky or Harris? My bet is on a close tie.

At the Canadian Open, did the winner get an all expense paid trip to Hungary?

I would assumehe did, because the winner of the US OPne gets one, so would the Canadian Open be the same?

Just assuming, because that is usually the price they give out at these Opens. I would love to have been at the canadian Open, I really want to see Harris solve in front of my own eyes.

No after reading the Canadian OPen website unfortunetly there seems to be no prize invlolving the World Championships. However, there was a money prize of $250 for 1st, $150 for 2nd, and $100 for 3rd (all in canadian dollars [1 USD = 1.0817 CAD])
but nevertheless $250 for cubing! Extra Grats Chan!

I think its about $230 or so USD. Not much difference.

I'm sure I heard the prize was a trip to the WC07. Can someone comfirm this?

Yes, if you read the "Grand Prize Revealed" section of the canadiancubing site. I'll still have to contact the Canadian distributor of Rubik's Cube about this, since they're the one sponsoring/paying for the trip...I'm so excited! I'll probably use the money to buy some other puzzles and practise as much as I can till the Worlds.

Are you off? I think I'm going, jsut need to sort out a few arrangements!

My mum will take me as long as I get sub-16 or below and the Championships are at the end of the year(well October) so I have plenty of time and competitions to practice.

I put up a short article on my Xanga about Harris's win btw.
