I think this is the right forum for this topic. Basically on my blue type f my look ahead is so much better than on any of my other cubes. Does this happen to anybody else where they look ahead better on a white cube or something else. My look ahead is terrible on white cubes and is average on black ones. But the blue one I have is the best. This is all considering that all your cubes have the same kind of stickers. I have cubesmith black cube florescent ones.

For me, it depends on the sticker shades more than the plastic color. I'm pretty even with all the plastic colors, as I have used black, white, red, orange, and blue as main cubes, although I prefer black.

If the red and orange are too similar, I tend to get confused. I absolutely can not solve icons quickly.

I think it just depends on what you get used to. The first time I picked up a white cube I was completely lost, but after I got used to it, I'm equally good with white or black. When I got a glow in the dark cube, I was completely lost on that one too.

Mt first DIY was a DianSheng (white), and i actually prefered my storebought Rubik's instead. it must have had something to do with the plastic. but now, i think it's pretty much even between white and black cubes

On 3x3 I don't really like white much, but that is probably because I have never had a white 3x3. But I have a white V-Cube 7, and I am fine with solving that. So I guess it is usually what you're used to.

My first DIY cube was orange and it took a few averages to get used to the plastic colour since I had only used black storeboughts before, but after that my lookahead was just as good as with other cubes of other colours.

Just got a purple C4U cube from DealExtreme-it's fast, but my recognition is so used to black plastic, so I guess my look ahead has to be on a normal colored cube (black).
