Caltech Fall '07

[pjk]

Shotaro Makisumi won the Caltech Fall competition 2007 with an average in the final of 13.90 seconds. Leyan Lo finished second (14.95) and Chris Dzoan finished third (16.98).
World records: Chris Dzoan 3x3 one-handed 20.91 (average).

Congrats Chris on the WR.

That is a really good ratio to have: 20.91/16.98 = 1.23

Is there another Sub 20 cuber that has such a ratio?

Well, Chris's best average in competition is 13.93. I don't think that his best OH average can be paired with a sub-par (at least for him) 2H.

Oehh!! Congratulations to Chris for the WR, this is getting exciting, the WR is getting closer and closer to the ultimate barrier.

Last weekend a lot of barriers almost got broken:

45.00_single on 4x4x4
1:30.00_single on 5x5x5
20.00_average on 3x3x3_oh

Maybe people should stop thinking 20 is the ultimate barrier. If you focus on 15 as the ultimate barrier 20 seems much easier

Congratulations on getting "a" sub-2 on 5x5x5 this time Rama
