Hi. I'm RubiksDude.

I absolutely LOVE the Rubik's Cube. It's my number 1 hobby.
I'm working on improving my time by learning Petrus, Roux, and Fridrich.

My best time is 1:07.7.(Yes, I know it sucks. I wanna get times like you guys, 6 sec.- 1:00.) My average is 1:57.04. I also will try to enter the weekly forum competitions.(They sound fun!)

Yeah, that's pretty much it.

This won't help your time. You can continue learning more methods for fun if you want, but you will get the best times from sticking with one method, learning all the algs, and practicing a lot.

So I should learn Fridrich, right? That one is working best for me so far. Thanks for the tips. I'm using Erik's website. It's working fine so far. Yeah, Petrus and Roux are too complicated for me. (I know Fridrich is complicated.)

Welcome to the forums! Lucky for you, there is a lot of WCA competitions in CA, you should try to go to one.

Really? There's only four this year and three of them have already past and I can't go to the last one(Feb. 27) because that's one of my friend birthday.

They're not always announced this far out. If you're near the bay there are bound to be a few more in your area this year.
