Calcubetimer mac

jesus christ dude, you know nothing about macs.

It has nothing to do with apple not updating their java, its about apple's idiotic decision to develop java themselves. They added something that required a simple fix for jeremy, but renders his previous work useless without that fix.

Calm down! I admit I know nothing about macs. I heard that was the case.

and yet you still continuously make false comments about it. Perhaps you should not propagate rumors and let someone who knows what they are talking about answer questions next time.

That is the first time I have ever made that comment about Java and Macs. I apologise for making an incorrect comment (gasp) but it was a mistake. It was speculation on my part from a rumour that I have heard. Sure I'll gladly be corrected, but I don't want my head being bitten off for getting something wrong.

Two things and a followup:

1. If you know there is a thread then why not use it?
2. Dan, do you know when Jeremy will release this fix?
2b. Do you know what this fix is? Because I tried to make a better fix than my already released hack, but with no luck.

People that spreads rumors deserves to get their head bitten off. Don't like it? Stop spreading rumors.
For all I knew what I said was correct, otherwise I wouldn't have said it.

I'm sorry it's taking so long to get this released.
hr.mohr, I saw your patch a while back, and I appreciate you going to the effort to fix cct. The problem had to do with a call to File.createTempFile() somewhere in substance (the look and feel we're using for cct). My guess is that there is some static initialization code that doesn't work when running on the Event Dispatch Thread, so the fix was to call the code on the main thread. The fix ended up looking pretty funny:
Code:
public static void main(String[] args) {
	//apple broke something in java 6
	try {
		File.createTempFile("tmp", "ihateapple");
	} catch(Exception e) {}
	..... (the rest of cct)
}

I'm going home for Thanksgiving tomorrow, and I'll do a proper release then. In the meantime, you can download an (unofficial!) release here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1463845/cct/cct-0.9.5.zip
