[Official] Brian Loftus - 17.09 one handed at Decatur Open

Yea I'm glad I at least did slightly better then I did at nationals so I guess if I just keep getting a little better each time I'll eventually have the WR... I hope to start hosting competitions here so maybe that will help. I think my university will sponsor it if so then I'll host as often as possible lol. Anyone want to come to florida?

How much would it cost to get to Florida from California? I may be able to come next year, but it would be only a very slight chance.
If you're in the US next April or so, there will most likely be a competition in Denver, Colorado, which is relatively close to California.

Thank you Arnuad. Although I think physical differences are not as big a difference as people think.
I think it is both a gift of God that I am able to do well and a result of my own practice at the same time. Loads of practice and love for your event are indeed the key.

undeniably, big talent is also a large factor in getting times like that:)

I strongly deny that. Apart from physical differences I don't believe in talent. Determination, practice and training are the ingredients

I strongly disagree. I have a natural aptitude for sports in general that many people lack.
I am a short and (somewhat) skinny (at least, too much for my liking) white boy, yet I can compete with people much more "physically inclined" towards sporty physiques, in a large variety of sports.
I am able to do some physical activity for the first time and pick it up and excel at it in a very short period of time, compared to your average person. There seems to be no explanation for this other than "natural" ability.

Dene,
Yeah, you may be able to do more than an average person ie.achieve better results in a short time. But,eventually it comes down to lots of practice, concentration and determination. What do u think?
