brand new cube!

the other day i bought a new cube and its acctualy the first Rubik's brand cube i'v ever bort!

and it has shortened my timer by a decent 10 seconds, and i achieved my first sub-60 second solve with it of 51 seconds!
i'm amazed!

When I finally got under a minute, I felt great. I'm still trying to work on ways to improve my solve times. My OLL and PLL are good for the moment, but I'm trying to improve my F2L. I tend to get the first 2 layers slowly and i want a way that can pair up both a corner and an edge then stick it in the slot it needs to go. So far i haven't found an easy way for me to do this yet.

no, i just went to toys'r'us. plain Rubik's brand.

Is it worth getting a DIY speedcube? I have a regular Toys R Us brand and average about 30...how much would DIY cut my times down? This cube doesn't go that fast compared to some vids on youtube I saw.

How many lock ups per solve do you guys get on average? I get about 4.

I think it's worth it, since you can cut corners easily. But there are some people, like Tim Reynolds, who use normal store-bought cubes.

Depending on the cube, I can get no lock-ups during a solve, but on others I usually end up with a couple during LL.

I just did another solve and had 9 lock ups. I should probably get a DIY then, from Dan Harris or something.

You can buy an Eastheen 2x2 at www.mefferts.com or at www.cubeforyou.com after you received it play a lot with it, it will get much smoother and looser after a while.

Please dont compare cubes from Youtube!? :blink: Only do that in real life.
