This is anything but a normal solve. It's my third sub-1 ever. And it's my first BLD attempt of the day :)

Awesome! That's some fast M2/3OP..you use pure M2 for edges or do you have some sort of advanced variation of it? What do you usually average for execution?
Pure. Very very very pure. I shoot to exactly one new letter everytime, no commutators, no funny 3-cycles, nothing fancy at all. For example, to shoot to FR then DR (from DF), I would literally do U R U' M2 U R' U' U R2 U' M2 U R2 U', I don't do any move cancellations. Another example, for the cycle UB-UF-DB-UF, I would do M2 M U2 M U2 M U2 M U2 M U2 M U2. Not the most efficient, but 100% braindead.

scramblez0r?
Lost it :( But I would like to have some advice from the fastest M2 + 3OP user in the world (as far as I know). Any tips, comments, suggestions? (Besides switching to freestyle ;))

Not to shabby... actually that's really amazing, I just wanted to use the word shabby.

A bit off topic but I just noticed your from OH, I'd think you would be from BLD... >*drums*<

tim sun is the fastest at M2
i dont practice it cuz its weird
only bad part of it is that u have to break into cycles or rotate y/y' i guess
use commus for bad edges + next edge or previous edge depending on if its M2 off or not

My normal memorization time is ~35. I average about 1:15 on my successful solves at the moment. Sub-70 is what I consider good.

Actually, I was asking on the lines on whether you perform any tricks to avoid awkward algos for bad M slice edges or if you do a little bit of freestyle for short cycles.

But I'm with you on the no-move-cancellations and braindead solves. It's better to keep your mind focused on recalling memo rather than thinking about the solves IMO cos it distracts you and you might forget the memo.
