I have heard some people saying that you can get 13sec average with the fridrich method. I am finish with all the algorithm, but I can't get better then 20sec avg out of 12. And that must be lucky if I get that. What should I do now, the get a better time?

Actually, I have heard of people that got sub 11 averages with Fridrich at home. If getting that fast was easy, more people would have done it.

thats true, Nakajima and Chan have invested serious time into cubing

I know full cfop algorithms, but i'm not 13 yet either :] slowing working my way there, I'm be satisfied when i can average 15 consistantly. i average about 18-19 on a normal day, sometimes in the 17s

Knowing full fridrich doesn't mean you'll automatically average 13. I don't know all of it and I average 17-18. It's knowing how to apply it the most efficient way that will make you faster. It's probably your execution speed for last layer, and recognition for F2L.

Actually according to Nakajima's website, he has only been cubing for a year - That's pretty impressive to get that fast so quickly. It'll be a year for me in april, but I expect to be at around 15-16 sec at best.

And to answer your question: Learning Fridrich does not guarantee you great times right away. Not even close :)

I think I can get to sub 15 once I've been cubing for a year. (May)
