Are my PLL's Good.

Thanks i found a good n(b) perm but still looking for f and n(a) are the others ok. You know what funny ur like my average. WHats ur normal average.
How long have you been cubing i've been at it for 6 months despite my join date in may 2010 i didnt cube for 5 months from august to january

Well 18.56 is my best average. I got that one this morning actually! I usually average just a tiny bit over 20 secs. When I do a big avg it's about 20.3x

Been cubing since Oct last year.

Well this morning i did an average of 50 and it was 20.5. We've been cubing the same time and our times are about the same.. how funny. Do u know full pll full oll... maybe u should pm me.

Yeah I know full PLL and full OLL. Learned OLL over December/January, two per day. I put in a lot of practice each week. I'm really struggling to break sub-20 consistently.

I use the J perm variation for the N perm and the T perm variation for the E perm.

For N perm, go R U R' U + J Perm + Insert F2L pair
For the E: R' U' F' + T perm. The last few T perm moves are a little different. You can make them out intuitively.

What do you guys mean that you've found an alg?
Do you mean that you've created a new one?
How do you "create" an alg?

ofc some algs have more potential than others, but movecount isn't definitive.

I can do sexy x 6 faster than i can probably do R2 E B' L' E2 S' b L2 or any other really ugly alg, even with substaintially lower movecount.

I bet that if breandan practiced the 21 move n perm, he could get close to sub1. seeings as its just sune with a J perm in the middle, algs which he can do in like .3 and .6ish respectively.

i can sub 1 that f perm. you could try doing the d' with a U' y kinda deal, but i use d' . . . but i dont like his lefty R perm. . his N perms. . his lefty J is alright, but i also reccomend learning the R' U2 R U R' one.

You meant for the F do R' U' F' + T, and it was already mentioned anyway.

OP: To be honest, I'm about .2-.3 faster with the "V perm" F perm algorithm (the F/V algs that are literally 2 moves different, an extra U then later a U'). I'd honestly suggest learning the URD N PLL algorithms, Breandan uses them in his "All PLLs sub1" video, and they're fast. I won't argue though that he could probably eventually get the R U R' U' Jb N PLL sub1, because Rowan can definitely get close to sub1 w/that Na PLL (if he hasn't sub1'd it already).

is there an alternative to M moves cuz my cube is really stiff when i do Ms

Sorry for the delayed reply, I did not see the question until now.

I can imagine some storebought cubes will not take too kindly to M slice moves, requiring special weight training or complex manouvers requiring more than two hands!

You could do one of a number of things in this situation. Firstly would be a better cube, you are going to need a good fast M slice so as not to handicap yourself out of some great algorythms. The H-perm can be so fast with a good cube. You could replace the M slices with r/R combo's and in fact I do this for some algoryths. Some OLL's that start MURUR'U' I execute as r'RURUR'U'. So your M2's become r2R2. This may not be ideal but you will get to keep the same algorythms when you change to a more freely moving cube. Alternatively you could learn algs that do not use M slices but this limits you and you will want to relearn alternative algs at a later date.

Personally I would go for the new cube, but if that is not possible right now considerer the alternatives closely.
