I've noted that some cubes have edge and corner caps on the outside like the F-II.
What if the edges and corners have little indentations and you can put your sticker in the indentations, and then you could put a transparent cap over the indentation, and stickers would no longer chip or become damaged. The cube itself isn't transparent, and is therefore competition legal.
Another example:
-Imagine a transparent cube.
-The stickers are on the interior of the cube.
-Fingers never come in contact with the sticker, but rather the plastic.
-Stickers last a long time.
-?????
-Profit.
Inb4 ideas are always shot down simply because people are argumentative.
