I did an average of 25 today and these are my results:
1.. 00:35.0
2.. 00:33.6
3.. 00:36.3
4.. 00:32.5
5.. 00:33.3
6.. 00:33.9
7.. 00:38.5
8.. 00:26.4
9.. 00:26.4
10.. 00:37.3
11.. 00:29.9
12.. 00:36.8
13.. 00:34.2
14.. 00:26.5
15.. 00:30.1
16.. 00:25.6
17.. 00:29.5
18.. 00:27.9
19.. 00:29.0
20.. 00:33.5
21.. 00:27.9
22.. 00:32.5
23.. 00:28.4
24.. 00:33.0
25.. 00:25.6

My best time is 25.57 seconds.
My average is 31.34.
However out of 25 solves, 10 of those were sub-30.

Also why do I have such a large range (25 - 38 seconds)?

Any advice?

I tend to think that consistency is an advanced trait. It bothers a lot of people even at the sub-20 barrier.

You are not equally good at every case you come across, and a solve can throw several really good or bad cases at you, skewing your time one way or the other. To get consistent, you must hammer out the weak spots, and it takes time.

straight forward question, I like it:

are all of your solves under thirty seconds? If they are, then yes you are sub-30. If not, well then you are not sub 30. It appears that , according to my aforementioned logical criteria, that YOU ARE NOT SUB 30 .

Why do you have such a large range? Well it really depends on various factors. Are you equally fast with all your algorithms ( e.g. with Plls such as the edge cycle, effortlessly sub 2 . With my n perms, 4.__s). For your relatively fast solves, did you not pause as much and have a more fluid approach--likelihood of multiple easy insertions--whereas for your relatively bads solves did you have all inserted stuck pieces?

And so forth.

In fairness if you average 31 seconds and then ask if you're sub -30 when you clearly aren't as your average is over 30 seconds :/ ????
