Am I doing alright? Will this be faster than LBL?

Hi everyone!

I'm new here. I've been using the LBL beginner's method the whole time, and I decided that it is time to move on to Fridrich's F2L.

I was around 50 seconds when I started learning F2L. Well, I'm actually not learning it, as I'm performing it intuitively, so no algorithms are involved. I'm now getting times of 1 minute and sometimes even higher.

I'm tempted to switch back to LBL, but before I'll do, I'm asking this question:
Will I get faster than LBL solving the cube this way (see example solve)?

This is what I came up with:

Scramble: R2 B U F B2 D' L2 R U' D2 R2 B D2 R U' L2 U' F B' R' U' L U2 B2 U'

Cross: B U F2 U B2 R' U F'
F2L #1: x2 R U R' U L U2 L' U L U' L'
F2L #2: R U' R' U2 L' U L
F2L #3: U R U' R' U R' U' R
F2L #4: U F' U F
OLL: F U R U' R' F'
PLL: F2 U L R' F2 L' R U F2

I don't need suggestions on how I could've done this better or this better, but I'd like to know if I'll eventually get faster this way than if I keep on LBL solving.

Thanks!

You will of course get faster with this than LBL. Otherwise top cubers would use LBL. Just keep practicing.

F2L will pay off in time. Keep practicing. Instead of just timing your F2L you should practice with a metronome or (as everyone says) go slow and look ahead. Hope this helps.
