Alice Cooper, a shock rock artist, one of the most influential rock artists has been around for 40 years. He has created his own genre that has influenced many artists of today. In one way or another, one of your favorite artists may have been influenced by him. With such a talented artist with such influence, why is it that he is not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. According to the way induction works, one can only be inducted after 25 years of their 1st released recording. So 15 years have passed, and no spot, in fact artists that have been influenced by Coop have gone in, Alice's theatrical features of his shows are there, but no Alice. In fact, many other defining bands are not even in the Hall including, Yes, Rush, Journey, etc.
Look at this years inductees:
Jeff Beck
Little Anthony & the Imperials
Metallica
Run-D.M.C.
Bobby Womack
Seriously, Jeff Beck? Even Madonna got in last year!
Personally, with the fact of how much trash is there, I don't think I'll go even if Alice gets there (ELP may be another thing though
). What do you guys think about the bias of the committee?
