That reminds me of Dan Knights doing it, and Jimmy Coll doing it. But the entire video you had leading up to it was really neat too. Good job. I plan to skydive this summer.

It's too different to do the cube alone than during a Tandem Jump because you don't have to pay attention to your balance!

Enjoy :)

Jimmy Coll :)

Yep.

I can't find the other one, but I know Clement was able to drive on his own, and he has done hundreds of dives. Looks really fun.

I think he meant you, if I'm not mistaken.

anyway, awesome video... Intense!
Oh, haha. I didn't think about it with a cube, but I may, we'll see.

Where did you get the cube with the wristband attached to it?

I made it myself. I might make a video showing how I did it.

The wristband? Oh, you just drill a hole in one of the centerpieces of a store brought cube and tie something durable to it. I'm sure everyone knows the reason why you can't do it with a DIY.

EDIT: Nice job Adam!

as soon as I have my drivers license (and I can spend my money on other stuff) I want to learn how to skydive (solo)

I know that by making certain movements you can go faster or slower, so if it pops it should be possible to grab all the other pieces again before you have to open the chute

@yukiwerts: Yeah, I basically had a screw with a loop on the end in the center cap. I'm sure you could do it with a DIY as long as you glued the center cap in. I decided to do the jump with a storebought cube just because I know they won't pop.

@PatrickJameson: It was somewhat hard to hold onto the cube, but I guess it wasn't hard enough considering I held onto it the entire time. I will admit that the wind was much stronger than I thought it was going to be and I even practiced on the interstate at 80mph!

@d4m4s74: While it is possible to maneuver in air, it would not be worth it to use a cube that is likely to pop. It is very hard to see things in the air and I'm sure it would be hard to find a falling cubie, let alone steer towards it and retrieve it.
