Is the silicone lube supposed to be runny? Like after its sprayed how long does it take to actually dry, or does it kinda stay greasy? I ordered a diy and im testing a silicone spray on an old cube.

Here's in my opinion the best way to lube a cube, with maximum effect:

1) Dissamble and clean the cube, if necessary
2) Lay out the pieces, with one non-stickered side facing up.
3) Spray the pieces ONCE from about a foot away.
4) Wait around 4 hours
5) Flip over the edges, and spray them again
6) Wait around 4 hours again
7) Assemble the cube, and play with it for a few hours, to let the lube spread out
8) Dissamble the cube, and let the lube dry overnight
9) Assemble

Note: Note that in this process, you do NOT lube the core. Doing so can cause the cube to be too "sliperry"

The whole process can take a while, usually around a day for me, but it is easily worth it in the end, especially on a good quality cube with good quality lube. I know of many sub-25 cubers who use this way, and one sub-15 cuber.

Ya I've actually let the cube dry for hours after spraying. Most tutorials online say or imply a wait time of like ten minutes which doesnt work with my spray. The spray I have sprays narrowly so I gota be really careful on pressure applied on the button. Other than that I'm really happy with how it works.

A bit off subject, but I've had my DIY cube for about two weeks now. About the last four days I've really put it to use and its loosened up a lot since I last adjusted the screws. I like its smoothness but its getting to the point of being hard to hold steady... I'm talking llloooooossee, like very little resistence on turns. Popping isn't an issue. Should I just tighten again? Do some people actually cube with super loose cubes? I'm still quite newb, cubing for about two weeks and I average from 1:00 to 1:10. Thanks for any advice.
