HELLO Speedsolvers! Im an 18 year old girl who has recently discovered the world of speedcubing. I've known how to solve the cube with the beginners method for some time now, but it was a couple of weeks ago that I run into a tutorial on the Fridrich method and have been obssesed with it ever since XD. Before that I didnt really care about the speed of mi solves, I was pretty content with being able to solve it, but learning this new method has been really fun. Im not actually fast yet, but im hoping ill get there with practice :).

This forum is amazing, im overwhelmed by the amount of information that's compiled here.

anyway, I dont know many people (by which i mean none) that are into speedcubing so im really looking foward to getting to know you guys :D

aaand, I believe thats it, you're welcome to ask me any questions you'd like

Bye :o

Welcome.
If you don't mind, you could share your times, and we could help you improve!
Have fun!

Thanks, I still haven't timed myself much because I wanted to get the method down first before worrying about speed. But today after reading your comment I decided to time a couple of solves to see where im at. I have to say the timer made me really anxious XD, I believe ill take some getting used to, but it was fun nevertheless.

So here's how I did:

15: 00:41.40
14: 00:56.68
13: 00:57.17
12: 00:45.39
11: 00:49.25
10: 00:48.73
9: 00:43.72
8: 00:50.01
7: 00:47.46
6: 00:55.05
5: 00:44.74
4: 00:44.40
3: 01:01.03
2: 00:44.23
1: 00:54.17

(I know its pretty bad but bear with me, im just starting) :o

its not that bad actually, i was really bad starting out. but if you really want to get faster (after learning more friedrich), then seriously, practice! i have been slacking off on practicing, and my times are getting worse. also just to drop maybe 5 or more seconds from you time (if you haven't already), you could invest in a good speedcube and lubricant. Welcome to the speedcubing world. :D

Welcome!! And don't ever say you're bad again!! Only say you're bad when comparing to your own times. When I started being serious about getting faster a year ago I had a 45 second average. I know it's hard not to compare yourself to the really fast cubers on this forum but keep in mind that you're in it to beat your own times. The speed will come.

I wish you a speedy learning curve!!!
