a math question for you guys

It's even worse when you're lecturer can't make his mind up on which one to use :/

(Out of interest Ben, are you studying A-level maths now? Considering you've differentiated x^(x^(x^(x))) which is something doable with the tools A-level maths gives you and a little insight.)

I'm in year 11 (10th grade for americans), and I started C1 in September (since then I've done every question in my textbook apart from about 10). At school, I haven't done the chain rule/logs/e/anything like that, I just decided to learn it all myself. I've learnt up to C4 so far (still learning some stuff though). I started A level September 2010.

Edit: when you are lecturer? l0l

Oh, look who's no longer banned.

American here, so obviously my school is pretty lol, but it's just really annoying (to me anyway) how slowly calculus goes in high school. I was teaching myself in 10th grade... they wouldn't let me take it until 11th.
