I don't know if this has been posted... it's been about a week and a half since I have been here last, but I wanted to save everyone the trouble of buying THE WORST CUBE EVER!!!!
It was posted on here 2 weeks ago that cube4you is selling a 2x2x2 w/ springs... DO NOT BUY IT! It is the biggest piece of garbage on the planet. The cube consists of a 'core' and each piece is held on my a small triangular plastic nub (which is what the spring is attached to). This piece is VERY EASY to break!!! You can see pictures of the 'insides' HERE. If you look at the pictures in the second link... there is one of a corner. The ONLY thing holding the corner to the cube is a tiny piece of plastic the diameter of a 3x3x3 DIY screw.
I ordered 2 of them, and one came broken (in the box... shipping trauma). I was solving the other, and lockups were TERRIBLE. It was like lubing the cube with a glue stick, and trying to solve after letting the glue dry for an hour! Not only did the cube lock like you wouldn't believe... after about 10 minutes of fighting with the cube, it popped. When I was trying to get the corner back in (NOT easy, because the 'core' doesn't have ANY give), the plastic triangle broke off.
I wasn't even pushing as hard as when you insert an edge piece back into a 3x3.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS JUNK CUBE! I have been PMing with Rubik (the guy's avatar who runs cube4you) and he said that these cube break all the time. He is going to refund me the price (so I can get an ES).
