Ok so i got my 7x7 cube like a couple of days ago and i can solve it alright, the only problem i have is that i get edge-parity almost every time.

So my question is, is there any way to prevent edge-parity in previous steps?

i tried to google this but i couldnt really find anything.

thanks :)

Topic: sure, it is possible, if you count all wrongly oriented edges you pair up. Then, if it is an uneven number you do a parity alg anywhere on the cube, before the 3x3x3 step. But it would not be a gain, you still need to do the parity and all you can save is a few quarter turns. Also, if you add the counting of edges it is a lost.
