[Unofficial] 6.89 avg12

Wow feliks, congratulations. I don't know how you can inspect for about 3 seconds and plan all those x crosses. Do you typically get better times at home than in competitions?

That's crazy, this is the 1st sub-7 average I've seen of his. Although I don't hang out in the accomplishment thread very much.

Then I would think so. I've seen his fairly regular posts in the accomplishment thread, and it looks like he gets sub-7 averages all the time.
I frequently get sub 5 averages on Pyraminx at home yet my competition average of 4.96 is faster than I average. He probably DOES do better at home than competitions, but his posts in the accomplishment thread don't indicate this.

But how many solves does he do at home vs solves in competition? He's probably cherry picking his best averages for the accomplishment thread (which we all do, of course).

Feliks, I find that you are using more and more white cubes in your solve. Does this help you in faster/better recognition?

Haha, no, it's just that my only weilong is white.

Congrats Faz on more epic solves. Your F2L is 10 seconds faster than mine, which is just mental! Never get tired of watching you and Mats, you're both masters of F2L... Any chance you might follow his lead and do a few walkthrough solves for the community? I know you have some on your YT channel, but they're pretty old, would be interested to see how your thought process had evolved/changed.

I definitely plan on doing a bunch of videos once I finish high school and have 3 months of nothing.

Yeah generally, I think my global average is just under 7.5

Feliks can I make a request? I'd like to see an analysis-type video from you. One where you've already done the solve(s) and have the reconstruction(s). Then go through the solution and point out things you noticed, and why you did what you did throughout the solve.
Pretty pwease? :3

Sick average btw. Teach me how to lookahead like you.

Hmm, so should I be going through reconstruction of speedsolves? (as in, timed solves) I might not be as efficient in those than if I were to turn slowly.
Get psychic powers. Predict OLL by 3rd pair.

That's what solve 6 looks like to me. Sooo fluid from 3rd pair to PLL.

Solve 6 had the massive pause after cross+1 though :/ That OLL skip basically made this average sub-7 :p

Your X-crosses that take 20 moves and lead to 50+ move FMCs? :P
(I was checking DNFs after Dene did at AN2013)

I admit, that was a terrible, terrible attempt at a solution. I found a number of solutions better than that before but ran out of time so just wrote down moves as I did them and submitted it. Usually my x-crosses are a lot better than that imo.

That seems like a good idea, as it would be a better indication of how your real solves work. This is probably a good idea for the long holidays.

Btw crazy average. :O Especially the tps, just ridiculous. :tu

Hi Faz, I enjoyed your video. It almost made me want to change my f2l to cross on D, change to color neutral, change from Zanchi to weilong, change from 5 tps to 8 tps and start doing x-crosses ... but I won't ;)

What cheat codes do you use?

Just before he started to record the video he did this: U U D D L R L R B A
