Hi! I am looking for a way to pair up 5x5 edges+wings. I don't want to memorize all the possible parity cases because I heard there was a way where you only have to memorize one or two algorithms. It made a reference to the 4x4, and since I don't own one, I didn't understand. Can someone explain the 5x5 edge pairing algorithm(s) and what it does, also when to use it? Speed isn't important, I just want to know how to solve the cube. Diagrams/pictures would be really helpful!

Thanks in advance,
~hic

I just do it all intuitively, however I'm not serious about 5x5.

The only algorithms I use for edgepairing are the flipping algorithm and the parity algortihm. That's really all you need and still be able to do it pretty quickly once you start looking ahead and so on so forth.

What I do is solve all but the last 2 Tredges. Then if it is the same as a F3L 4x4x4 case I do that and all the others I just use the Oll/Pll Parity algs after solving like a 3x3x3. It means that you only have to know how to solve a 4x4x4. ;)

I kinda do the same thing except I mess up a finished Tredge so when I do to finish a single Tredge, I complete those last remaining 3. Might sound dumb to you but it works for me.

With the last 4 Tredges I try to make it into a 2 and a 1 piece join becuase then you only need one inner layer turn, leaving 2 places to put finished tredges.
