5x5 center POP

I was solving my 5x5 a week or two ago and one of the cross centers popped out. I really want to get it back in, but I'm not sure the easiest way to do it. It is a new 5x5, the retooled type, according to a response to my other thread. (I've started a new thread, because no one responded to my other one.)

O... this happened to me a couple of times. What I do, is just do a 45 degree turn in force it back into place.

I tried that but it's hard. It's a new one, not much wear on it, so it still hard to force pieces back in. Is that the only way? Is there a way that requires less force?
