please try.. if it works then I am in. ;) I think the Gan is too instable. Especially after doing many solves on the Weilong. However, it is smoother, cuts better and never locks. So I want a stable Gan :)

Just a thought, what about lumping a ball of epoxy around the central part of the core to reduce the flexing? Just don't put so much as to affect the pieces.

Ok, I have been busy for a few hours.:

I found my Dayan 50 Zhanchi. I placed the core in my Gan:

Cool, good work, thanks Marcel. I'll wait to see whether it improves with breaking in, before trying it myself.

What stickers are you using, and did they fit the centres OK?

Apologies for bumping, but I have been wondering, why not use the Gans springs with the 50mm screws/core? I'm pretty sure dayan has very stiff springs, which is why your cube is stiffer.

Cubicle Fangshi fitted stickers. They fit perfectly.

Hhhmm, I might try that later this week..

Hi, apologies for yet another bump, but I think I found a solution to the '57mm screws are too large' problem.

Dayan screws are M3 size, so I dug around and found some M3 screws with much smaller heads than the dayan ones. I think they will fit the centers.

I know it's too short, but I can get longer screws. Give me a few months, and I may try out 57mm hardware on the Gans III 57mm.

Wow, awesome review! Great job! Would you recommend this cube to me (my current main is a Weilong V2)?

Thanks! Yes, I would recommend this cube to you, though you may have to get used to the flimsy feel, which is very different from the WeiLong.

To everyone replacing the core: I am very interested in your results! Please keep me updated!

The noise happened with my YJ Yulong...I completely dissassembled the cube and finally narrowed to problem down to one corner piece. I opened the corner and to my surprise there was a very small, minute, plastic mold chip/ball. I would reccommend doing that if you do/did not find out the problem. :)

I have a Gans III V3 diy kit comming, it comes with two types of springs, what springs are the stock ones coz I loved the stock feel?

Also any tips on getting it to atleast the same tension as stock as a baseline?

So I just got this from The Cubicle. It has the new reinforced core and out of the box it feel very fast but loose and flimsy. I tightened it a whole lot and it felt a little bit less flimsy but still really quick. I really like this cube, it won't be my main but I will definitely use this every once in a while. It comes with little sheet that has all F2L, OLL and PLLs which is very useful for me

Ordered mine from hknowstore 3 weeks ago, took them a week before they even shipped it and that took an email to remind them, 2 weeks after that and it's still not arrived.

I used the smaller springs and i really like it. Haven't tried the larger springs tough.
Tensioning can be tricky on this cube. All my Gan357 had very loose stock tension
and i had to tighten them to make them feel good.

Where are you located? Hknowstore is in China and if you are not living in China it will take some weeks with standard shipping, thats quite normal.

It's weird.... It arrived with stickers fitted and the middles were fitted to the core which was not the thin type core... It's different... And all the bits feel lubed up.

My first thought was a second hand cube but there's still burs on some of the plastic that needs removing and no marks anywhere from use so I'm very confused.

It come with the normal tension tool but what's this for?
