I've been toying around with Yau on 555 a bit. I haven't found a decent way of solving the BL and BR tredges (You can tell by how inefficient my edge paring was, for that part). There are a few mistakes, I could have easily been sub 1:15 I think.

Cube: Shengshou

I'm jealous of your cube :(

I'd be interested to see how you could do on columns first or OBLBL...

My cube has only only been lubed with maru lube and D39. I haven't even modded it.
I've tried columns first and OBLBL but I think they're quite difficult to get fast with on 555+... I watched your old columns first hi-games solve a few minutes ago. I doubt that I'll get anything close to 1:22 for a while :p

I'm assuming that you invented this "Yau" method? I don't know much about it, can it be used for all big cubes?

I agree with what Jonny has said. This seems to be the case in my experience. But I think I can around 200 move solves on 555 with yau compared to Faz' 270... (HTM) (I haven't actually counted the number of moves in this particular solve though.)

Well, what brand is it? I only really have a super old V-cube and some weird older ones (Eastsheen, Rubik's, etc).

I dunno, I don't find it too difficult to get reasonably good times (by my standards anyway) - they just require different recognition than a build-centers/pair-edges method like Redux/Yau/K4/Meyer. (And that video really is old, I've done like 1:14 sim avg12 now :p)

It's a shengshou. I should probably mod it, but I'm lazy and I'm slightly afraid that it could go wrong :p

That's pretty good although you are 20 seconds better with standard reduction :) I guess I should practise more with columns and oblbl.
