I only average about 1:30-1:40, but for me, it helped a ton to just practice. I know you hear it a lot, but if you do an average of 5 per day, your times will improve.
Is your cube magnetic? If it's not, switching to a magnetic one will be a huge difference.
I also recommend switching to the yau method, it's basically the same as redux except you make cross edges in between the first 2 and last 4 centers instead of in edge pairing.
For me personally I think big cubes (5x5-7x7) helped with recognizing edge pieces quickly and tricks to pair them.
You don't need to learn 4x4 algorithm sets for the last layer, but I often executed PLL algorithms, and then had to do parity, and then another PLL algorithm. I started using R U R' U' [PLL Parity] U' R U' R' when the last layer was solved except for two flipped edges in the front and right (diagram attached). I don't know if this will help you, but it's a really easy algorithm to learn, and it saved me about 5 seconds every other solve.
Also, what do you average on 3x3?
