3x3x3 in 6.62!

looks like a real solve to me just sped up
look at the tapping of the fingers before the solve and how fast he turns it at the end to show its solved
idk it could be legit...

My friend said that he drops it out of view, and then he picks up another cube. Not sure, just adding input.

Thanks for uploading it. Is it just me or is the first 3 seconds really bad quality and then it becomes clear?

By looking at it, it doesn't look to be sped up, nor is the cube changed (either way that had no impact since we saw the entire solve). However, I do agree with Erik that it appears to be a memorized solve. The recognition of the LL is too quick to be real, along wit the pairs of the F2L.

haha i uploaded it and then i found that someone else had already done so (i guess it's the guy himself based on the description)
here's the link: http://youtube.com/watch?v=fufu43rqIV8&mode=related&search=

thinking about it now it looks legit b/c here's how he says the solve went:

"but wow this was just amazing! hardly any delays in this solve. the cross was 3 moves and then I had two edge pairs already solved for me so I only had to solve two of them and they were very simple ones and then I had an easy T oll and the 3 edge cycle for the pll just an amazing solve!!!"

I have a video of a memorized solve too, which is an easy easy X-cross, insert one pair easy, 1 normal pair, 1 insertion + forced OLL skip and a Y perm. But I can't do that any faster than this so I think this must be memorized. And I don't think it is sped up btw...

The reason why I think it was a memorised solve is this:

He doesn't seem to look for an x-cross, let alone a double x-cross. But after he does the cross there is no sign of inspection/recognition/joy that he already has 2 full pairs already correct.

If I would get a situation like that, I would probably notice it during inspection (and show some emotion about it), or spend a second on checking it after building the cross.

well, there's also other solves from this guy at strangepuzzle that aren't as lucky (but still pretty lucky in my opinion) but he does show some emotion at the end of those solves
