Oh no you got a pop! Very impressive BLD solve though on the second try. I would have surely DNF'd I don't get why non-cubers are so fascinated with the fact that we know when we are "done" after a BLD solve.

They probably just think he's solving the cube by doing a certain sequence of moves until it's solved.

I thoroughly enjoyed that. I thought it was quite tasteful of them to put in a failed solve at the end. The only thing that really bothered me, was the "yeah right" at the end there. That reaction is pretty much the only thing that non-cubers can say that will actually make me angry anymore.

Yer, it peeves me off as well. However it's only natural for the media to make these sort of feats seem only possible for a genius.
