If I can help it the nextpuzzle I'll get is the 2x2x2- for some reason I think its cool to be able to solve a 2x2x2, it just looks so cute, lol- so I was wondering what methods should I learn for it. I know Guimond is fast. So what do you guys recommend. And is there a 2x2x2 heaven website that I don't know about besides Erik's method page?

hmmm... I don't use any methods i don't think... I've figured out the 2x2 myself by using the 3x3 method for it. Like, i get the first layer just like filling in the corners, i orient the top layer by using double layer moves, anti-sune and sune (my mood chooses which one to use..). Like, if i need to permute the last layer, i use T permutation, or reverse J permutation, or J permutation, or The Arrow (Y Permutation). I reached 4.11 seconds (non-lucky (1.54 lucky) ) with this.

Single times are very unreliable in my opinion (sorry) and I haven't seen any website with good methods actualy... (besides mine  )
Most sites only describe the 'stupid*': make 1 layer, orient second permute second...

* not that slow but just....slow sub-10 shouldn't be a problem with it...

the puzzle planet-guy (cant remember his name (Katsuyuki Konishi?)) has a vid on him getting an amazing 2x2x2 avg.

does anyone know what method he uses? it seems pretty fast

Averaging sub-4 would convince me :)

Seriously, I am curious to your times. I wonder if your 3x3x3 Ortega experience helps you on the 2x2x2.
It probably does. But when you have a 2x2x2 you probably have less space to maneuver, which is probably the only difference. But since we are talking about corners I doubt it makes a difference.

Beginner: Bottom layer, OLL (7 algs), PLL (2 algs)
Intermediate (Ortega): Bottom face, OLL (7 algs), rest of cube (5 algs, including 2 PLL algs)
Advanced: Bottom layer, COLL/CMLL (40 algs)
Freaky Expert: Bottom face, rest of cube (120 algs)e

Where can I find the freaky expert 120 algs?
