Look up :)
Would people be interested in renting a 17x17?

I saw the idea on Reddit.

I would charge $50 for 3 days, and would have some sort of security deposit is the cube is damaged or stolen.

Is there an interest?

Though $50 may seem high for a cube you don't even keep, that is the time most people even spend solving the cube.

Again, I'm just trying to see if there is a real interest.

I would be, but $50 would be way too much for me... I just don't have that kind of money really to be renting a cube.

Well, $50 bucks is accually pretty low considering it’s a $750 cube. I don’t see how I could get the price down without losing a ton of money. Do you think $20 a day instead would be better?

Maybe, but like having it cheaper the more days you have it would be good. I wouldn't rent it just because I don't have enough money to be spending so much at once for renting cubes, but other people might.

Personally I'd love to solve one, but at least half the value of it is just having it on the shelf as a conversation starter. If I was going to take the time to scramble and solve one I'd just go ahead and buy it.

A better plan might be for a local cubing club to buy one to share, although I would suggest that if you did that you might want an agreement in place ahead of time about what happens to the club's assets if the club is dissolved, since that's a fairly significant investment.
