YouTube messed with my video quality. PM me if you want my raw file - it's way better.

I didn't really count so I'm not sure if it's an average of 18 but it's something close to that. Read the video description before you sue me for puffery.

I REALLY hope this is gonna convince more people to try out these U perms. (My other U perm is slightly faster than this.) Don't reject it from the start because "I can't do M moves." That's BS. These U perms were my first MU algs and I started out averaging 3 seconds on them - so yes, it did take me practice to get really good with them and I became good at MU moves after practicing these U perms. I went on to do my H perm with MU after I got comfortable with my U perms.

Could you do a few in slow mo? I want to see how you do M moves. I started by doing the index pulldown, but that was too slow. I tried r' R, which I still do if I'm feeling lazy. I tried out thumb pulling and R r', but what I like best for general M purposes is my left index finger pushing from DB to UB.

I can sub-1.4 these and love em!

Let's be realistic though, a lot of people suck with M moves. I think Erik made it clear that M = beastly a long time ago. I think it takes a touch though. One important factor is finger thickness. You really need skinny fingers to be able to do M moves effectively. Another factor is finger length; short fingers are no good for M moves.

Also, people avg sub1 with RU U perm. To do MU U perm takes a specific grip that isn't going to flow from OLL, but RU U perm will often flow very nicely.

The point of my post: I am not encouraging people to use RU U perm instead of MU. I'm just defending my use of it, and I hope that many others can use my points to defend their own use of it.

well, I'm pretty fast on the ccw RU (with R2 'U.. 0.69 on the border of a +2 :p ) but on the cw, I just can't sub1 the RU ones (well, sometimes the R'U.. is sub1) so for cw I'm also using MU, M2 U' M' U2 M U' M2, that alg is a beast :) (0.75)
