Anyone from Texas out there thinking about have a competition set up but need to know if there was enough of y'all out there
So what do you say want a Texas competition?

so I'm going to cubing simple in temple, and it says that the comp will be stationary and that it won't really be normal. Does anyone know how that works, because I read the thing on wca, and it didn't make sense. Can someone explain this pleaseeee

Looks like if you're a competitor, you just stay at a particular solving station for all your solves. Also the runner stays to judge your solve, so maybe you don't have to judge unless you're staffing?

You have a wca id, so you've been to a few comps before. Your previous comps probably worked the same way most all comps in the US work, which is that you get called up to a particular solving station for one solve at a time, then go back to the waiting area and wait to be called for your next solve. Do that 5 times and that's your ao5 (or 3 times for an mo3) round for that event.
Stationary seating / fixed seating, is what a lot of other countries do. You get called for your first solve for a round, they either assign you a solving station or you find one yourself, then you sit and stay sat at the same solving station for all 5 of your solves for that round. You stay seated at that one solving station for your whole ao5, without going back to the waiting area between solves. Sometimes the same judge stays there, too, but reading that comp info explains that it will be running judges, where the judge acts as runner, too, so you might get a different judge for each solve, but you won't move for that round.

Yes, they'll explain it, especially since it's something different than even many experienced competitors (in the US, anyway) are used to.
